Pair of Black and Chrome “Orion” Floor Lamps by Per Sundstedt for Ateljé Lyktan, Sweden, 1960s

This wonderful pair of Model 5485 “Orion” floor lamps, designed by Per Sundstedt for Ateljé Lyktan in the 1960s, is a strong example of mid-century modern Scandinavian lighting design. The lamps feature slim chromed stems with integrated light switches, adjustable cylindrical metal shades and round black bases, giving them a clean, functional look with a distinctly modern edge. Both lamps are labelled, have been fully rewired, carefully cleaned, and are in very good vintage condition, showing only signs of use and wear consistent with their age. A versatile and well-balanced pair, ideal for reading corners, living spaces, or studio settings.
