Opaline Glass Table Lamp – Flygsfors, Sweden — Late 1960s / Early 1970s

A beautifully composed table lamp with a base in white opaline glass, formed as a gently faceted hexagon with subtly concave faces — simple in concept, quietly refined in execution. The original brass fittings connect base to shade with just the right amount of warmth against the cool white glass.

The lamp retains its original cylindrical, slightly conical fabric shade and matching fabric disc top, both complete and in excellent condition — increasingly rare to find intact. It has been fully and professionally rewired, making it ready to use straight away.

The original Flygsfors label remains on the base, marked with model number 2-420.

Flygsfors was a Swedish glassworks founded in 1888 and active until 1979, known for the quality and restraint of their glass objects.

Overall condition is excellent. E27 bulb.
