Candelabra “Sonata” by Gunnar Ander for Ystad-Metall, Sweden, Mid-century

This is a Gunnar Ander “Sonata” candelabra designed for Ystad-Metall, Sweden, from the mid-20th century. It features a sculptural, spiral design made of black lacquered wrought iron with 4 brass candle holders and a hanging brass ball detail. It is a classic example of Scandinavian Mid-Century Modern design. Gunnar Ander was a Swedish industrial designer known for his work with Ystad-Metall in the 1950s and 1960s. His designs are represented in numerous museums in Sweden. This candelabra is in good vintage condition. Wear consistent with age and use. The brass has a beautiful patina with some marks. The candelabra holds 4 regular candles with a diameter of 2.4 cm
