Brass Candelabra with Art Glass Base by Gunnar Ander for Ystad-Metall, Sweden, 1950s

This is a Swedish Grace / Scandinavian Modern brass and art glass candelabra designed by Gunnar Ander for the Swedish manufacturer Ystad Metall. It features an elegant swirling frame holding up 4 black metal painted candle holders with a brass top ring. The base of the candelabra is made of a beautiful piece of art glass made by Lindshammar Glasbruk, a famous Swedish glass producer with which Ystad-Metall collaborated on all of its designs featuring art glass elements. It was produced in the 1950s. This style is designed to hold four taper candles with a diameter of 12 mm. The candle holder is in good vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use. The glass base has no cracks, scratches or chips. The candelabra is marked “Made in Sweden”.
