Brass Candelabra with Art Glass Base and Glass Prisms by Gunnar Ander for Ystad-Metall, Sweden, 1950s

Four-arm Swedish Grace / Scandinavian Modern candelabra made of brass and a rectangular art glass base by Gunnar Ander for Ystad-Metall. The base of the candelabra is made of art glass made by Lindshammar Glasbruk, a famous Swedish glass producer with which Ystad-Metall collaborated on all of its designs featuring art glass elements. Each candle holder is mounted above a circular metal ring with a suspended clear faceted glass prism. It was produced in the 1950s. This style is designed to hold four taper candles with a diameter of 12 mm. The candle holder is in good vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use. The glass base and prisms have no cracks, scratches or chips. The candelabra is marked “Made in Sweden”.
